The issue of driver and spectator safety is a primary requirement in hillclimb races. And it is because of this that double barriers are gradually being added to Pezinská Baba.
Less than five weeks remain until the start of the BABA SLOVAKIA 2026 event. It will host the FIA Central European Zone championships for modern and historic vehicles, the Slovak, Austrian and Czech hillclimb championships for contemporary and historic vehicles, as well as cup competitions. The organizer from O.Z. Pezinská Baba is working hard to prepare the event, adjusting the paddock, where the service parking lot will be located, but the surroundings of the track have not escaped the modifications either. Of course, the organizer also places great emphasis on the safety of drivers and spectators. As part of it, the organizers will also place additional barriers under the original barriers. The result will be double barriers, especially in difficult sections of the track, with a total area of almost three hundred meters.
The BABA SLOVAKIA 2026 event will start on July 24-26, 2026.
